Reminder that planning has already started for Streetfest and Sidewalk Sounds 2022. Anyone interested in participating and contributing to these major events, you are more than welcome to join in the planning meetings starting in the new year.

- City of Hamilton is here to support BIA - as demonstrated with $10,000 grant for advertising and promotional intiatives
- Mountain View Park review will start in the new year in collaboration with Concession BIA (Cristina Geissler representing) and the community – more to come in 2021
- Sam Lawrence Park upgrades to start in 2021. First phase will include repairs to the retaining wall, lighting improvements and horticulture improvements.
- Councillor Pauls has received inquiries about the installation of holiday lights at the Sam Lawrence Park pavilion again this year. The Concession BIA will collaborate (food collection and cash donation) for a food drive - while the Councillor will take care of the lighting of the pavillion and print advertising to promote in local newspaper "Concession Street businesses give back to the community". More info to follow shortly as the light date is ETA for the second weekend in December 2021.
- Wished all continued strength and success as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times. She offered her continue support to all small businesses of Concession Street

BIA Updates: Executive Director, Cristina Geissler
- Food Drive and Christmas Lights at pavillion of Sam Lawrence Park (second weekend of December 2021)
- Hamilton Day 2021 happening this Saturday Nov 20th. Grant secured has purchased over $2000 in prizes - sorted into 5 gift baskets ranging in retail values of $120 to over $500 (to be raffled off next week). More prizes will be raffled off leading up to Christmas and then more after the holidays (to keep people coming back to our small businesses)
- Book Crawl coming to Concession. First date this Saturday Nov 20th - and will run the third Saturday of each month year round (10am to 1pm). Local Hamilton authors will set up to meet with the community, discuss their books and offer unique gift ideas (especially for the upcoming holidays). Very appreciative to the Hamilton Writers Guild for including us in the initiative that will only draw more Hamiltonians to the sidewalks of Concession Street.
- Safety updates saw more dark corners get illuminated including the parking lots of 555 and 565 Concession (thank you to T.Zarcone), Stoneroads (thank you to D.Roach) and murals at 588 Concession and the alleyway - front, back alleyway - at 576 Concession, and the alleyway behind the Zoetic (thanks to Mt Lanes Bowling). Social media post in the coming days will spotlight these improvements
