LIVE CONCERT CELEBRATION: LITEYEARS, MIKE MAAS, WILD NIGHT at The Zoetic

11/14/2017

Picture
The Zoetic is celebrating 90 years of entertainment in Hamilton with a rocking Hamilton hometown concert by Liteyears, Mike Maas & The Late Night Lineup, and Wild Night.
Come celebrate a favourite hometown venue and an amazing line-up of local artists on November 25th and help us prove why Hamilton is the best city in the world!
LITEYEARS:
Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, LITEYEARS is a pop band on the rise that’s been quickly making a name for themselves on Canada’s national stage. Drawing from a diverse sonic palette ranging from cinematic orchestral arrangements reminiscent of a Hans Zimmer film score to the electronic sensibilities of modern pop music, LITEYEARS has created an honest representation of themselves and their musical tastes: high energy, anthemic alternative-pop with depth.  LITEYEARS will also be a part of the new CTV television series THE LAUNCH.

MIKE MAAS & THE LATE NIGHT LINEUP:
Led by Hamilton native and veteran singer-songwriter Mike Maas , Mike Maas & The Late Night Lineup is a confident pop rock blend of earthy acoustic and echoing ambient soundscapes. With Maas’ powerful and emotive voice at the forefront, the band’s infectious and masterfully-written ballads draw influence from the likes of Coldplay, U2 and The Beatles.

WILD NIGHT:
Wild Night hail from the smoke stacks of Hamilton, Ontario. They play rock and roll like their lives depend on it because, while they were growing up, they did. Carrying the echoes of their parents’ records, Wild Night are out to revive the heart and spirit of everything good that is gone.

Since 1927, The Zoetic Theatre has been a landmark on Hamilton Mountain offering everything from vaudeville to cinema to live performance. Alongside the theatre’s 90th anniversary, The Zoetic itself heads into its fifth year as an arts and entertainment organization. Join us for this live concert celebration!
NOVEMBER 25 at 8PM, Doors at 7:30pm

Dave Hanley MEMORIAL dinner at Sam Lawrence Park

9/22/2017

Picture
We are shocked, dismayed and truly heart broken at the sudden and unexpected passing of Dave Hanley.

What he did in his short 5 years in Hamilton is remarkable. He embraced our city and helped to bring Hamilton’s culinary scene to international attention.

Not only that he was a loveable, gregarious Kook! I say that with all affection, he was a genuine person and all about the “Mad Love”.

There was supposed to be a Pop-UP dinner at the East side of Sam Lawrence Park this Saturday September 23.

*** The official pop-up event has been cancelled ***
Ticket holders will be contacted at a later date.

This event is a Celebration of Life for Dave Hanley.

Lets all meet there from 6:00-9:00pm, bring a candle to burn, wear bright colours and Gents, wear a Fedora or Trilby hat if you can (as Dave would have done).

Let’s share stories, Laugh, cry and Celebrate one of the best things this city has gained and lost all to quickly.

All are welcome, friends, family, past Pop-up guests, anyone who’s life was touched by Dave!

We will set up a red Gazebo as a meeting point.

There is also a go Fund me page for Dave’s family
https://www.gofundme.com/support-for-dave-hanleys-family

*** Updates ***
This event is evolving! Earlier start time!

Jonny Blonde, Poke, Papa Leo and Candiwerx will be there serving food!
There will be $5 items (proceeds to the Hanley Family go-fund me account) from all of these awesome Chefs (and purveyor of sweets)!

Bring lawn chairs/blankets
(tiki torches too)

This Is NOT a licensed event please save the adult beverages for a later time.

We plan to have music too.

There will be the public restrooms (portables)

This is growing :)

A few volunteers for set up\tear down would be great too. Post below and we'll be in touch.

*** MAD LOVE ***
