- City has requested our BIA to consider changing our bench slats to cedar/red colour from the current black - to be consistent with other benches across the rest of Hamilton. Replacement boards take longer to special order, they have the cedar/red consistently in stock that would speed up their repairs. Explaned that the Board from 2015 picked the black benches as part of our streetscape. Concerns with mismatched bench colours until all can be replaced. Concerns with waste to replace benches that are not damaged at this time. Cristina will take an inventory of how many benches we are talking about. Request if changes are done, that they are done to all benches at the same time. More information to follow in an emall to the Board for final direction to the City.
