Graffiti is on the rise
Graffiti grants are now made available to BIA members who applied. Encouraging members to maintain removal as they are becoming more frequent and is presenting an eyesore. This may also give rise to nefarious activities.
F. Beautification Report: E. Martens (in the absence of a beautification committee)
23 Planter boxes have been completed by the city (Petunias, Canna Lillies) and another 22 planter boxes have been planted with Native plants and pollinators (perennials). We’re feeding pollinators signs are up.
City of Hamilton Horticultural Dept. is watering them on a weekly basis.

E. MARTENS: SOCIALLY INFUSED REBRAND UPDATE
(presented logo on screen) Logo submitted needs a little more representation of Concession Street, it has not quite captured the essence of the street. More feedback is needed in order to have the ability to move forward.

D.SANCHEZ: CHCH TV ADS
They have been completed and is currently running; 30 runs of a 10 second clip. Removing old clips of stores no longer on Concession and updated with new stores.
NOTE: CHCH does the editing of which clips will be played

E. MARTENS: The Generator
Suzannes contract for June is coming to an end. She has been doing a fantastic job in promoting the street and events
D.SANCHEZ: We should extend Suzanne through to September. The events budget can sustain the cost. In this way, the events promotion will continue its momentum

Sidewalk Sounds Update:
Our first Sidewalk Sounds of the year was in May 24 (rain date – previous date was May 17th)
Was well received and well attended. Sidewalk Vendors were quite excited to be a part of this new venture with Concession Street
Sidewalk Sounds - 2nd of the series will be on June 21st
Performance areas: Zoetic Theater, CAP Lot, Mountain Tire. Lyns’ Caribbean Restaurant hosted/sponsored a DANCEHALL Party at their location. A food drive for Mountain Kidz Klub, A giant Eevee and a Pride Selfie Booth
Streetfest Update:
Very well attended; blessed with beautiful weather. Garbage collection is an indicator of attendance and the garbage generated was 3x to that of 2019, 2022 & 2023
A diverse selection of stage entertainment, the BIA past recognition as well as the John Gabriel recognition award was very well received on social media. A massive increase in viewership.
Cake: approximately 500 attendees were served cake
Kidz Zone: very well received, Kidz activities throughout the street

BIA Annual Audit Update: with the assistance of J. Newman (bookkeeper)
The annual audit has started, for the past 6 weeks. Copies of invoices, cheque stub, financial reports have been submitted as requested, we are on track and up to date.

RBC Express Update:
TOSIN: We are experiencing some challenges but working through them as we encounter them. It does have efficient tools available to customize for administration and security purposes.
DORIS: I will be requiring more training to be able to maximize on the tools available
