- Resident Safety reports due to Mountain Park Drive Encampment (page 3)
D. Beautification Committee: Reported by: Doris S
- Beautiful Alleys neighbourhood clean up to be scheduled – September 28 with a specific focus on Concession Street
- Fall Planters/Fall Planter Décor – City Annual plants will be removed mid-October, the Beautification Committee is exploring appropriate fall planters
E. Marketing Report: Doris Sanchez/Eva Martens
- Exploring recycling programs beyond the blue bin recycling; contact initiated with Terra Cycle Inc.
- Exploring an upgrade in Social Media Promotions, set up a weekly blog, BIA members backstory, maximizing website content: contact initiated with the Generator (current social media content manager)
F. Events Committee: Doris Sanchez
- Sidewalk Sounds / Night Market on Friday August 16th
- Planning for a Fall Fest/Corn Fest - September 7th, budget submitted to Events Committee, free corn (buttered) in exchange for a school supply donation; Concession Restaurateurs food booth set up in addition, continuous entertainment, Kidz corn husk/corn stalk crafty zone, Fall themed sidewalk vendors
G. Executive Director Updates: Doris Sanchez
- Garbage in the back of the building –mostly residential (upstairs tenant waste)
Garbage management reminders will continue to be sent to Storeowners and extending the reminders to Landlords. Primary responsibility to managing trash/garbage will be laid solely on the Storeowners and Landlords.
- Looking for a home for the Mural Panel previously at Opies Meats
Update report sent via email: July 30th; continuing to find a home for this Mural
-Need to schedule and arrange for the AGM; October BOD is scheduled for October 17th – motion for time and date will take place via email
H. Financial Report: Tosin Ikotun
- City Grants Received, - we are on track to staying well within the budget for the year

- Garbage & Litter all over the park generated by the current Encampment
July 13 – Resident Report
- Domestic Violence occurring at the Park, young teenagers vocally intervened, they were chased with a knife, they ran away – no harm came to the young teenagers
July 27 – Break-In at the Healing Energy Clinic – Tony Sibbald
- Police are involved, no harm to the store owners
August 11 – Mountain Drive Park – Soil Contamination – Sam Minniti, Ward 6 Special Projects Office
- Further testing being done (Easterly section was found to be contaminated)
- Encampment will soon be relocated, park will be gated
