Welcome and hiring update for Administrative Position (Kara Dillon)

Spring Safety Audit scheduled for May 26, 2025.
E. Beautification Committee: Eva Martens/Stephanie Muir/Janna Goodyear
Eva: Ordering plants shortly for Planter Box Decorations/Spring Pollinator Planting and will add the week of May 26 planting event to flyer.
Doris: Planter boxes being done by city Victoria Day week.
F. Marketing Report: Doris Sanchez/Eva Martens
Doris: Wellness promotion had 40 coupons released and all 40 coupons redeemed.
Instagram in March and April had 12,000 people engaged on Instagram and this was led by Jeff Joslin receiving a King Charles award.
G. Events Committee: Doris Sanchez, Eva M, Janna G
Doris: Streetfest Vendors approved so far: 40 outside vendors and 10 community partners.
Doris: Easter Event: Saturday April 19th from 11am store owners are participating with a high percentage giving away candy as well as participating in the Concession Street BIA golden egg promotion.
Terry R: Easter parade street and crosswalk safety concerns were addressed resulting in two volunteers with safety vests being assigned as parade marshalls to accompany Terry and the parade participants, implementing crossing guard style traffic control.
H. Executive Director Updates:
Kara, the new Administrative Assistant started on Monday, April 14th.
Doris: We have started our audit preparation confirming copies of receipts for our bookkeeper and our treasurer prior to submission to KPMG.
I. New Business
-Grand opening of the concession Diner today with a big post on our social media, by Suzanne, that included video. Suzanne will also be documenting the Easter parade.
-New members announced: AEG Finance at 426 Concession. SwiftHub Accounting at 81 Concession. PC party MPP Monica Cerillo temporarily occupying Monique Taylors’ office at 555 Concession (upper level).
-Upcoming Members: Joe Dogs at 529 Concession, Juicy Birds at 636 Concession
-One of three street patios have been built outside the Concession Street BIA, with the remaining two being built this week. Concession Street BIA branding is needed for 3 sides of our patio for maximum visibility and needs to be ordered.
